Drew Droege

Beth and Drew talked about him appearing at UnCabaret for almost a year before he finally made his UnCab debut. He’s been so busy spreading his special upbeat, off-kilter comedy on stage and screen that it took serious calendaring for them to make a date. But make it they did, to the joy of all, and they have been working to keep Drew in the UnCab booking book every since.

Besides being on camera, Drew is on lots of radars. In 2010, he was given the Outfest Film Festival’s Special Programming Award for Emerging Talent and in 2011 was named one of OUT Magazine’s Out 100. In 2012, the LA Weekly cited him as one of Los Angeles’ Top 10 Comedy Acts To Watch.

Drew was a member of The Groundlings Sunday Company, where he currently performs and teaches, and his gift for improv is one of his most brilliant assets. His Chloe Sevigny videos are a huge hit on YouTube and his Glitter in the Garbage podcast on Earwolf was deemed “Brilliant and Lowbrow” by New York Magazine’s Approval Matrix.

Drew’s latest video series on YouTube is Hollywood Acting Studio.

You’ve also seen him in such TV shows as Hot in Cleveland, How I Met Your Mother, The Sarah Silverman Program and Reno 911! His film credits include Sassy Pants, Freak Dance and the upcoming Such Good People. But nowhere is he more fully Drew, or more lovably loopy, than at UnCabaret!
